My criticism of the entrees my wife and I had, I must be critical of both for the same reason: the cooks cheated in both entrees by loading the dishes with inexpensive fillers, and minimizing the chicken, beef and seafood. My wife and I Shared a medium sized bowl of hot and sour soup, and I thought it was excellent, with the perfect balance between pepper hot and strong vinegary sour. Now for the food: my grandson had sushi which looked like it might have been dropped on the floor- it was loosely packed and just did not look fresh. There were 2 adults who each ordered an entire, one with soup, and 2 appetizers shared by 2 kids. a family dinner for $30 or so with emphasis on 'fillers' like rice and noodles though I was surprised how quickly our bill came to $66. To be fair, this eatery takes on a real challenge-to serve both Japanese and Chinese food from the same cooks and from the same kitchen! I would guess they do an enormous take out business where working moms and dads in LAMORINDA can put together.
